Rearranging in the Living Room

I love this area of our living room because we've put a lot of it together ourselves. I assembled the table (yay!) and picked out the pictures to have framed. The vases are from Steinmart. I think I got them for about five dollars a piece.

The mirror was something I had been eyeing for a long time and we finally bought it from Dania. My husband hung it up for us. The basket below was a garage sale find ($2), and the red blankets were a gift.

Even though I thought it looked great, I thought it could use some pizzazz. Here's how I rearranged things:

The lighting makes a big difference. Just rearranging a few things and adding some branches for height really helped.

Adding Color to the Living Room

Our living room has a LOT of brown in it. I love all of the pieces we have, but it's just way too much brown.

I went shopping today and picked up the pillow above for $14.99.

This one was on clearance for $4.98!

I decluttered the coffee table and placed a pretty candle tray in the center.
